Prakash and other staff members were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They took care of us very well. What is even more impressive was the food made by Chef Prakash. We are originally from Sri Lanka, and we have had plenty of Sri Lankan food, including home cooked food. But the Rice and curries dinner we had here was unique and the best we ever had. We had a great mountain view from the room and balcony, and were able to enjoy the Sunrise directly from the room.

Stayed there for one night on 28. 06. 2024. We had a wonderful time at this beautiful place. Hosts were amazing: experienced the true srilankan hospitality. We felt more like we were visiting friends. It was very kind of them to let us leave our car there overnight until we return from our hike the next day. They even volunteered to pack our breakfast to take with us even though we left very early in the morning. And then the next day upon our arrival there was hot tea and Sri Lankan pancakes to welcome us back. What a sweet surprise! The location was convenient too. It was just a 5 minutes walk from the railway station. The cozy bedroom had an attached bathroom which was nice and clean. We loved the cute, beautiful garden with outdoor seating. This will definitely be the place we will be staying at if we will visit Ohiya again.

First of all, I want to say about the staff. Their humanity was at its best. Very friendly. I love that. We were treated better than we thought. The room also has a very clean bathroom with comfortable beds. The environment is very quiet. It's a very beautiful small village surrounded by a forest. The food is very tasty and refreshing . Hope to go there again . Much love that place .

We had an excellent stay at Hill Safari. Hosts Eomal and his wife and staff Nuwan are very kind, friendly, and helpful. The location is an excellent place for Horton Plains and many other hiking trails. Also, the views around the property are excellent - tea plantations, farms, mountains, and long distance views as well. Eomal, who has lived there over 40 years, is very knowledgeable about the area and all the hiking opportunities. Home cooked dinner and lunch were very tasty. He arranged our travel logistics to the Horton Plains and to the Train station.
