Nice and magical but way too crowded... A bit overrated in my opinion. You can get tickets online which can include the entrance to the YSL museum as well as the Berber museum. Or buy the ticket at the YSL museum, the queue is smaller ;-)
YSL museum is nice. There is also a shop across the street 33 Majorelle that has some nice things. A little pricey but if you're a little worn out after spending time in souks and want more of a traditional boutique.
These gardens are pretty but not a must see. I think 70 Dirhams per person is a bit steep for what you get to see. And I'm someone who loves mini/botanical gardens. If you plan to spend some time relaxing here, then by all means - it's peaceful and serene, until the people taking selfies get in your way lol
Buy your ticket at the Museum. The line is way shorter and you can buy your garden ticket there. We bought the combo ticket even though I am not into fashion, but the Yves Saint-Laurent museum was very enjoyable.
Our taxi driver almost convinced us not to go as he said it was small and expensive. He was right but we still enjoyed our visit. A very shaded and calm place but get there early as it definitely fills up.
You can get a ticket combining the YSL museum and the Majorelle Gardens. Most people queue up at the gardens first as this is the bigger attraction. But if you go to the YSL museum first (which is actually really interesting - even my husband enjoyed it), afterwards you can just walk past the queues for the gardens and walk straight in as you already have a ticket. Very satisfying!
Marrakesh
We enjoyed the privacy of the room we got (in the rooftop, with private bathroom and outside sitting areas). The house is beautiful, with a nice little pool and helpful staff. The location is good, maybe a little far walking distance from the downtown (about 40 minutes), but the Majorelle gardens are pretty close and there are other cool neighborhoods to visit not too far. There are several mosques you can hear early in the morning, so bring earplugs if you want to sleep in.
The Tiskiwin Museum and the Dar Si Said Museums are both wonderful, and the Jardin Majorelle has an outstanding cactus collection
