Beware when buying a trip (from any touristic agencies that sell them). Check the distances and traveling times: highly recommend visiting the attractions near Mérida (if you're staying in Mérida). If you plan to visit the Cancún area, it's better to stay in that area than travel all the way from Mérida. The tour agencies try to sell these trips as incredible experienced but they're really overpriced as you spend 4-5 hours sitting in a van (each way) and very little time at the destination.
