Great place to visit if you're into Frida.
Great place to visit if you're into Frida. Disappointingly little of Frida's arte - it's more about the house and her life. Her studio is perhaps the best room. Too many people - but hardly surprising given her remarkable story (and its vigorous marketing by all). I great market with popular food stalls two blocks away. Also the centre of Coyoacan close by.

Buy tickets ahead of time. Hawkers outside have great bags and Frida souvenirs at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this museum. Try to watch the movie about Frida before going. We saw it afterward and now I need to revisit the house!

Book your tickets in advance over internet or you won’t get in. Great small museum; you get a real insight into Frida’s life. Takes about 2 hours. Explore the main square in town about 2 to 3 blocks away.

Wonderful house but extremely popular and busy.
Wonderful house but extremely popular and busy. It’s a bit of a shuffle and you aren’t given much time to linger because of the crowds. Still totally worth it but be prepared to share your e ierirnce rith a LOT of other people!

Definitely book your ticket online and skip the line! Otherwise waiting time can be very long. Do not expect to spend more than 1 1/2 hours, museum is rather small. If you are mainly interested in Frida's paintings this is not the right museum for you, it focuses more on her life and times, her family and her personal style.
