The staff were very friendly & cooperative, and due to flights delays and cancelation I had to change my booking dates, and the hotel management managed to solve this issue in a very professional and smooth way, both rooms I booked were spacious, clean and well organized, hotel location was excellent nearby shops, markets, restaurants, and very close to the city center. I highly recommend the hotel for solo, couples, and families. Thanks a lot

If I had to choose one word to describe CityHub Amsterdam it would be "perfect". Never in my life have i experienced such an amazing and warm experience. Having already downloaded the app before arriving, even though I didn't have network, the map on the app somehow picked up where I was, giving me the useful assistance to find the hotel while battling bags and the rain. On arrival I was welcomed by Mathias, one very bubbly fella (definitely the type of person you'd want to be greeted by). My first impression: "wow, this is better than the pictures". The check in process was rather simple, scan your booking QR code at the self help desk, choose which pod you'd like (climb in - top, or dive in - bottom), last but not least assign a waterproof, weather resistant RFID wristband to you and your pod & boom bobs your uncle. You're set to go. I chose pod 16, the dive in option. After finding (which was rather easy) the pod, I was set for amazement. I expected the pod to be tight on space but wow was I wrong! Such a spacious pod. First, the most important thing - a whole very comfortable double bed. Ample space to move around and space to put your bags. You're given two towels (which can be topped up after use), 2 bath gowns, a few hangers and a few hooks to hang your things on (I used them to act as my clothes hanger to drive wet items from the rain). The pod is equiped with bluetooth surround sound and two plug points and two USB holes. Remember the app I spoke about...you can use that to control the lights in your room and chat to the hosts on duty. You can chat to them about anything you want. Looking for a friend, looking for a restaurant, looking for something to do in and around Amsterdam. They got you covered. Roos recommended the apple pie at Winkel 43 - possibly the best apple pie I've had in my entire life. Amazing recommendation!

Pre-book your visit for the earliest time slot you can as the crowds really do build, especially around the land, mark exhibits. It is so vast that it really is worth planning your view-targets rather than just wandering. 2 to 3 hours and you will be zapped!

    Terrible.

Terrible. I must tell, that even the museum its follow-up survey does not work. However I am working in field of IT, and know all necessary tricks to filling out an online survey, my experiences is not enough. :( Our visit was terrible. Visiting this place was the only programm in Amsterdam, a bad surprize, to be referred as terrible. Against time periods, it was too much crowded. At the entrance individuals and group is without common sense shuffled. Staff is impolite, badly communicating. They disturbed as well our visit, becouse of my 3 liter backpack during our visit. Why? Why not at the entrance. But ther was no resolution, just disturbing attemptes to arrange somthing. I left them staying. I was working in visitor center of Hungarian Parliament. This was impossible. Direction posts is just a few and badly placed. Audioguide usage is missing many information: where to get, how to use, where to give back etc. So is an unnecessary garbage. Thinks worth having is collection and decriptions. Every additional circumstences to our visir was just disturbing or missing. Suggested to improve many components for making a visit memorable. This was just immemorable.

    Pace yourself!

Pace yourself! This is Amsterdam's version of the Louvre -- there's a lot to see. They have kind of a 'greatest hits' exhibition hall that is quite nice and navigable in one visit but if you want to see the other floors I'd suggest going a second day. After awhile it's more than you can absorb. They have a really nice restaurant in the lobby and a cute coffeeshop tucked in a back corner if you need a break halfway through.

    Absolutely gorgeous museum.

Absolutely gorgeous museum. Definitely get there at opening (9a) and get a museum map -- it's super helpful and the entire museum is laid out chronologically by floor, area, so it's easy to pick the areas/eras you're interested in. The cafe is a nice stop for a break/snack. Gift shop has nice, reasonably priced items.

The host was wonderful- very friendly and helpful. He offered to carry our luggage up and down the very steep steps, and was available if we needed him. The location was wonderful- just steps away from a train station and a bus station. There were a lot of restaurants, shops, and bars within walking distance. It was also close to a canal and the Rijksmuseum, and about a 40-minute walk (or a short train ride) to the Anne Frank House. Great value for the location.

The hotel is located close to many key points of interest in Amsterdam (10-15 min to Rijksmuseum, <5 to Heineken Experience) and close to transit, but it's also kind of on a side street, so it's not too loud. The room itself was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful when I needed their assistance.

We loved the condition of the hotel, it was clean and easy to navigate. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the size of the bedroom and bathroom were a real surprise. In Europe we assume hotel rooms and bathrooms will be small but this hotel was the opposite. Finally the location is amazing - 500 meters from the Van Gogh and the RijksMuseum and lots of cafes and restaurants a short walk away.

Location was perfect. Vondelstraat is a gorgeous, quiet street. Easy 6 min. walk to Leidseplein or Rijksmuseum. Building is historic and very cute. Designed by P. Cuypers, who also designed the Rijksmuseum and Centraal Station. Elevator! Spotlessly clean. Safe. Decent price for Amsterdam. Staff is warm, welcoming and friendly. Beautiful garden to enjoy. I did not have breakfast.
