The reception at the hotel was very warm and friendly. Our request for a shared bed was granted. The room was clean and big enough for us. We could park our car directly in the car park in front of the hotel. Breakfast was served in an adjacent building. It was a bit fresh there, but the tasty selection and a hot coffee made us overlook this. On the first evening, we also ate the iftar. Here, too, there were many delicious and fresh dishes. The staff were always very courteous and helpful. As it was Ramadan, the bar on the top floor was closed. But from there you certainly have a beautiful view over the city.

Our family stay here was wonderful. Having three bedrooms was THE BEST. All the added extras of dishwasher, washer/dryer, extra water bottles, luxurious bedding, and rooftop pool was over the top. Our housekeeper, Kamal, was especially a standout! He cared so well for us!

This place is well worth a visit, but not for the obvious...

This place is well worth a visit, but not for the obvious reasons. Read the accounts of the civil war and laugh heartily at the crude propaganda. Be shocked at the displays of cluster bombs and other weapons that are forbidden under international law. All in all, this is a museum of the very worst aspects of Oman.
