For a westerner, Red Square is a must see, because most westerners NEVER thought they would be able to visit. It is a very large space, with the Kremlin on one side, and the astonishing GUM shopping complex on the other. During the Christmas Period, visiting provides a number of activities such as a large Ice Rink and vendor booths selling souveniers and street food.
Incredible to see - hopefully you won't go on a day when they are celebrating something when they build make shift stadiums and block the views and then shut off the square. Go early or later in the evening to avoid the chinese tourists
This is it, the iconic heart of Moscow. In winter, by night it is in turns a statement of power, and a big skating rink. By day an expression of power, with queues of Russians waiting to see Lenin's mausoleum.
Fabulous, ate in Bosco, was lovely for a treat, enjoyed the gum and lovely traditional market, I am not sure if that's there all year, it's like a Christmas market, Watch the taxi, for us the taxi from here was way over priced
The new park adjoining is really worth a visit too. There are some old buildings/museums to the rear of the park also worth a visit. Their setting has been improved now the park is in place. Nice restaurant -Voshkod- also excellent to visit. Has live music too.
Don’t ever take her a taxi and Moscow. Use Uber if the GPS traffic jams don’t confuse you, but don’t ever take a taxi Moscow. Because I didn’t know about the GPS jammer, I took the first taxi that I because I didn’t know about the GPS jammer, I took the first taxi that I saw and I don’t understand the rate and I was overcharged. It’s a rip off. Always take the metro but double the time that you’re expected to be at your destination to be at your destination on time.
This is probably the best option to stay in Moscow if you're traveling alone or with family, The hotel is less than 500 meters away from the historical Arbat street and around 10 mins away from Kremlin and the Red Square by walking, so you don't even need to use metro or Yandex. My hotel room was perfect - clean, comfy, quiet, and cheap. I should also mention breakfast. It is definitely worth buying this option as it is far better than most of the hotels I've visited so far.
First: The Front desk, dining staff, and Manager Dave were EXCEPTIONAL in helping us with directions, Covid testing, and getting Taxis. The location was centrally located and was 20 minutes from RED SQUARE and 10 minutes from the subway system, which was easy to use and very necessary to get around Moscow( heavy car traffic) There are more expensive hotels in Moscow but you will get the BEST service in Moscow at this hotel. I would definitely book this hotel again
Hospitality , superb location in the quite center , near Main Church and just 30 minutes by walk to the Red Square, everything is close , administrations gave to us early check in and were really polite and kind, on the next day young men on the reception even did say hello or anything)) for a few times ) but it’s ok ) room is large and comfortable huge bed , all is perfect - quite hotel in the luxury area of Moscow , just I don’t like dirty carpets in the room 🙈
Arbat, Moscow
great location just a 2 minute walk to the metro, 10-15 walk to the red square. the hostel has a kitchen so you can cook but it's really the staff and the owners Eli, Regina and Kat. Eli took care of my registration while in Moscow and honestly, my vacation would have been cut short if not for this. They even invited me for a little New Year's eve celebration at the hostel. thanks a lot to the owners, such gracious hosts.
The location is outstanding. Only 10 min walk to the Red Square. Additionally, the hotel is right next to the Kitay-Gorod metro station, exit 6. The room size, temperature and the bed were pretty good. The bathroom was nice as well. What I really appreciated is the staff, though. They were very helpful before and during our accommodation. This is the fourth hotel I've stayed in Moscow and the best deal.
Arbat, Moscow
Had a great time staying at the hostel: the staff are supportive and welcome, the dorm, kitchen are clean and comfortable, location - right at the heart of Moscow at the Arbat street (Kremlin and Red Square in 15 min walk)!!!. So it was a wonderful 1 week trip to Moscow!!!
Hotel is located 5 minutes walk from the metro stop. Downtown Moscow (Gum, red square) is about 20-30 minutes walk through a nice neighbourhood. Hotel is nice and clean, beds are very comfortable. Sauna and steam room can be used for free from Friday to Sunday.
Excellent location in the heart of Moscow. Near from malls, bars and historic places(Red Square, Bolshoi Theater), the hotel is a beautiful area near from metro stations. The staff is nice and the spaces are super clean.
Fantastic location just off Moscow's main drag. Quick access to Red Square, the Bolshoi Theater, upscale shopping, the Metropole Hotel. All the charm of an early 1900s hotel in top notch shape. Absolutely charming!
