Nothing great -- we weren't able to go inside so it was just a tour of the outside of the buildings. The best site was the Temple of the Emerald Buddha, which was stunning, but you weren't able to take any pictures of the buddha itself.

Very beautiful but very crowded.
Very beautiful but very crowded. Many other temples and palaces in the city are as beautiful and less crowded making for a nicer experience. The traditional dance experience included in entrance ticket the best, don't miss.

I think there is enough written about this incredible place...
I think there is enough written about this incredible place but I want to put some light on "Queen Sirikit Textile Museum" which is easily overlooked because it is not well known and it's is a bit hidden on the grounds of the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew. The entrance ticket for the Grand Palace is also valid for the textile Museum but you are also able to visit the Museum on its own for 150 THB.
It is situated in a beautifully restored colonial-style 2 story building from 1870 which was the former Ministry of Finance.
The museum collects, displays and preserves textiles from South East-, South- and East-Asia with a special emphasis on textiles and garments from the Royal Court since ~1960. It's beautifully arranged with a lot of interactive information on numerous little touch-screens! It was Queen Sirikit's endeavor to rediscover almost lost Thai textile- and fabric-making and revived these processes all over the country.
The museum also hosts an education studio, a lecture hall and Thailands first dedicated textile conservation lab. In the Museum shop on the ground floor you can buy high quality textiles, accessories, table cloths, shawls, silk by meter and many more beautiful items.
The intricacy of different techniques of fabric weaving is incredible and explains why these pieces of art are so expensive and unique!

Looked forward to seeing the Grand palace but wouldn’t allow us to enter due to dress code ! Please note we had full length trousers and full length top with additional long scarf around arms and shoulders. We were shouted at to leave as scarves don’t class as cover up. (No skin was visible apart from our faces) we entered peacefully and left without questioning) this was just myself and my 22 year old daughter. Perhaps if the scarf was purchased from one of the vendors outside this may have changed their view about letting us enter. I researched the dress code well in advance and made sure we were entering with correct wear. Disappointed ☹️

Staff were wonderful, overall really liked the hotel and the rooftop seating area.
Good value.
Room good size and nice design.
Close vicinity to Khaosan road and Grand Palace.
Help yourself to beers, snacks and water in main area (reasonable price).
Warm welcome friendly staff always smiling and gave a good advice place to visit and activities around bkk the hotel not far from Center close to khaosan Road and grand palace lot of restaurants and bar near by also street food at night I always stay here good location and value for money thank you definitely see you again soon love the company with the front desk and the owner she a keeper
It was just ok. Normal clean city hotel close to grand palace, Wat pho and Wat Arun. But if I could chose once again I would take something closer to underground. It was pretty far away to everything else. But price was fine for a standard they offered me
The property was nestled away off a main road, meaning there was minimal road noise. Many street food locations and restaurants nearby. Easy walk to all the attractions in Bangkok CBD, grand palace, temples, markets, shopping malls. Staff were very friendly, helped us out where necessary. Breakfast was also excellent, good range of both western and Asian options. A/C works well also, cooled the room down very quickly.
The style of the hotel is beautiful and in a great location for several major temples and the grand Palace. The river and canal boats can be reached within a 5 to 10min walk so you can get around with ease and cheaply. Khaosan Road also 5min walk away.
Big room, comfortable enough. Reception is efficient rather than welcoming but it's a busy place so understandable. breakfast was good. obviously a grand place in days gone by but it's showing it's age now. its a good price for a few nights in Bangkok and a great location for khaosan road and grand palace etc.
I did enjoy the location of the hotel (close to the Khao San road and temples like Emerald Buddha, The Grand Palace & The Reclining Budhha) and still it was quite place. They have also restaurant with good food.
The room was large and had its own private balcony, full of green plants. I loved having my morning coffee there or a break in the afternoon. The hotel is extremely well located. Close to the grand palace and other points of interest so you can arrive before the tourist rush. Lots the proximity with Chinatown and great food options.
- The location was excellent!! With Wat Pho, the Grand Palace, and Khao San Road all within walking distance;)
- The staff were nice, and the atmosphere in the hotel lobby was exceptional!
