Fantastic position in the heart of Gaslamp District walking distance for Seaport area . Quirky extras a pineapple water bottle which was refilled in the lobby, unlimited tea and coffee pods for a smart machine in the room and free bike hire. We loved the two single duvets on a double bed it worked well, fridge and microwave in the room. They only service your room every 2 days but are happy to give you fresh towels everyday. The WiFi was strong and free. We didn't park but it did appear to have parking just behind the hotel. They gave us free drinks vouchers from the fridge behind reception and also printed our aircraft boarding passes willingly without charge . I would definitely book another Stay Pineapple in another location if offered. Generally most of the staff we encountered were professional and helpful.

Midweek the crowds are fewer and you get to enjoy the park. Very glad to see that they are no longer allowing buskers to have amplifiers... a little quieter. We were disappointed that the Botanical Garden and conservatory was closed for repairs... next time we will see it restored.

The room was spacious, with a good king-size mattress, and clean. We had a balcony, which is a good point. The hotel is well-located if you want to visit the city (the Wharf, Downtown, little Italy and Balboa Park).
The apartment was very well located, within walking distance of Little Italy and Balboa park. The staff was very friendly, and the room had everything (fridge, microwave, cutlery and plates). Parking was possible underneath the apartment building for some extra $, as you couldn't park outside in the street (only for 2 hrs during the day, it is free after 6 pm and on Sunday).
The hotel style matches the little Italy community vibe and is an artsy mixture of old and new. The rooms were simple and comfortable. The location was walking distance to Balboa Park and all the museums.
Responsive host; clean room provided with everything needed for a comfortable stay. I enjoyed the view from our apartment, and the location is amazing - it's within walking distance from Balboa Park, Little Italy, Gaslamp Quarter, and all the interesting museums and other attractions. I found the bed to be very comfy too.
It was a self-catered apartment. In very great condition with everything we needed to prepare meals and enjoy our stay. Good surroundings albeit not quite the 30th street environment we had expected. Good easy access to Balboa Park which we enjoyed.
Lovely apartment. Great first impressions as soon as we walked in. Very large and comfy bed. Really spacious room. Shame about the herd of elephants staying in the room above us. Location was good. Few homeless around but didn’t bother anyone. Right next to Balboa Park. Managed to park for free close to the apartment but beware of the palm trees!
The room was clean and comfortable. Hotel staff is super nice and helpful. There's plenty of free parking on the premises and the location is in the center of most sights and attractions so you're only about 10-15 mins away from downtown, Balboa Park, and the coast.
It's a beautiful and spacious apartment facing Balboa Park. Its quiet at night and the beds are very comfortable. It was very clean when we arrived . The kitchen is very large as well an functioned well.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would consider booking again.
Customer service was fast to reply. We had an issue with a drain and this was resolved very rapidly.
Great location opposite Balboa Park, lots of bus routes nearby and a short walk to downtown. Apartment was immaculately presented and very comfortable. AC worked well in hot weather. Getting access using multiple codes worked seamlessly.

Balboa Park in particular is gigantic and has numerous exhibits that cover art, space, botany, international culture, history, etc. It is spread out over a very large area which is wonderful for walking and general sight seeing. It's also adjacent to the zoo.

For us part of sightseeing includes checking out the crowds and the local people and how they interact among themselves and visitors. Sightseeing is more than just looking at the prairies in Kansas or beautiful Black Hill of South Dakota, the Yellowstone River running through Wyoming and Montana, or the forest and coastline in Oregon and California or even the Cactus Forest that we saw in Arizona. It also about checking out the people in crowded streets of downtown Seattle, Vancouver, Victoria, and San Francisco or the people who are at the other table at restaurants in Vancouver Canada, Newport Oregon or San Diego California or the waiters and waitresses who served us in Oklahoma City, Seattle, Vancouver, Oakland, San Diego and El Paso. There is a lot to see on this wonderful continent and my wife and I try to take in all the sights. San Diego's Balboa Park is a cross between the natural environment and the man-made structures at the park which includes many interesting museums, statues, and works of art. We would also encourage you to check out Old Town San Diego which has a very history and many shops and restaurants to visits. Two of the hidden treasures we found in San Diego were two restaurants; we had one of our best breakfasts during our three week vacation at the Hob Nob Restaurant which is near Little Italy area and dinner at the Kansas City BBQ restaurant where one of the scenes from the Tom Cruise Movie "Top Gun" was shot. The food was good to and dining experience was interesting at this restaurant which sits next to the railroad tracks where trains would pass by. If you're sitting outside for your meal you might have the good fortune to see Diesel Engines pulling it cars right by your table. No matter where we visited during our last trips (Rapid City where a Piano player entertained at breakfast or in Nebraska where a car dealership was selling an Army Truck, or maybe at the restaurant in Newport Oregon which sits on the Pacific coastline where you can see the sunset over the Pacific Ocean or even is Seattle Washington where we saw an Eagle protecting it bird's nest in one of the Red Oaks of the Northwest) we saw and enjoyed many interesting sights.
