Empire State Building

Stretching into the sky at 120 stories high, the Empire State Building was once the tallest building in the entire world. Not for the faint of heart, its observation deck provides a bird’s-eye view of NYC. Dodge the crowds by visiting between 8 and 11 am and snap some photos uninterrupted, with the Big Apple as your backdrop.

    Expensive but worth it.

Expensive but worth it. Staff at the top were helpful and knowledgeable about the skyline. Good exhibition about the history of the building. We went on a beautiful Sunday afternoon in August without booking and there was no queue!

Get a city pass with access to the Empire State Building if you can. This will save on the price of entry ticket as well as allowing you to skip the queue on arrival. Well worth it if you are short on time.

Keep in mind that it gets very busy and it's heated during winter, so it can get very hot and crowded inside. I would recommend layering clothes so you can stay an okay temperature during the whole visit. I wouldn't wait for the elevators as it can get very long, you can always grab the stairs up to the viewing points and it's only 6 flights.

Be prepared to wait.. In line..for a LONG time.

Be prepared to wait.. In line..for a LONG time. The views at the top are phenomal, it really has a beautiful city scape view, but we spent hours queuing here and it is very badly organised.. There were two queue lines, but everyone queued on one side only as there was no one available to tell us where to go.. Then folks from the very back of the queue decided to go into the other queue line, and skipped past all of us who had been waiting for hours. Very unfair but no-one was on hand to organise the crowd

My maternal grandfather and grand uncle were two Irish workers who helped to build this historic building. I am extremely proud of them for their contribution in helping to build an iconic building. Buy a New York Visitor card - it saves you a lot of money and also you can beat the queues too.

It was a great location to our offices in the Empire State building. Good libations on the top floor bar. Great food options outside the hotel. For a NY hotel it was adequate price wise.

The breakfast was pretty much okay, if you didn't arrive early, you probably would not find much to eat left. Pretty basic as yogurt, juice, apples, boiled eggs, coffee and some pastries if you arrived early. The staff was super nice, very helpful and friendly and the location was perfect, walkable to many destinations like Empire state building, subway station close to the hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Broadway Plaza hotel. My room had a view of the Empire State Building, which was a great surprise. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel was quiet and in a great location near lots of restaurants, shopping, and a beautiful park. I will definitely stay here again when I visit New York.

Great hotel in an incredible location. Rooms were spacious and clean. Bathroom was clean and nice. View of the Empire State Building was fantastic!! Staff was always friendly and helpful, 10 out of 10! Breakfast was excellent. The staff was very attentive and they had new choices each day. I didn't have any problems with the elevator, it was fast and didn't wait more than 2-3 minutes at the most, even during breakfast. Price was excellent! Booked through Booking.com. Can't beat the location right by Bryant Park and Times Square.

This was my third time staying at the New Yorker and it met all expectations. As always the location is great for access to transportation (train, subway). I used bag storage services this time and that was extremely convenient. For as busy as this hotel it, I was surprised by how few people I saw or heard while in the rooms. Everything was clean and the staff are very attentive and friendly! I enjoyed my room on the 35th floor with a great view of the Empire State Building! I will probably stay here again on future trips to NYC.

The bunk bed room was perfect for Mom and daughter to sleep in. The location was good for easy access to the subway system and Times Square. They have walking tours that leave from the hotel that are another great way to see sights. Oh and realized we could see the Empire State building.
