We absolutely loved our stay here, the room was very clean, had gorgeous views of the ocean, extremely comfortable furniture, a great little fireplace nook, and all the necessary amenities one could need. The staff were extremely kind, pleasant and friendly. They had a scrumptious breakfast spread. The staff went above and beyond to make our room extra special for our anniversary trip which we really appreciated.

No more sea glass there because tourists have taken it all.

No more sea glass there because tourists have taken it all. Extremely difficult to access this beach or any others. Town of Fort Bragg has very little to offer tourists except that the area surrounding is sooo beautiful for miles around. If you go, don't miss a visit to Mendocino; great shopping, great food!

There is a beach full of tumbled glass but I was confused by the advertising of this place on social media and tourist sites. The media seems to want you to explore the "Glass Beach" area and find this Glass but signs posted all around it are not promoting that you actually are not supposed to climb down to the beach.....the beach cliffs are spectacular for viewing the tides as they roll in and out, but the media hypes up going to glass beach for tourists and the locals are angry the media depict this area as a visitation spot. The tourists are taking a lot of the local beauty off the beach and ruining this fantastic spot because they are given false information about the Glass on the beach. Fish and Wildlife officers actually watch for people who take anything off the beach. It is policed! And you will be fined if you are caught.

I was very excited to finally be visiting Glass Beach.

I was very excited to finally be visiting Glass Beach. When we arrived I was expecting to see beach areas covered in sea washed glass as photos and past descriptions have alluded to. What I saw was beach areas covered with people and a very small area with sea glass in the sand. I imagine that much of the glass has been hauled off by tourists despite signs asking that the glass not be removed. People were walking away with bags of glass. I was very disappointed.

Awesome place to go and experience.

Awesome place to go and experience. The glass is from an old dump that used to sit there. I only know this from talking to locals, there is no sign of any kind of dump there now, except maybe a large piece or two of bent, rusted steel, and the most beautifully colored, completely smooth pieces of glass, all along the beach. Take the trail to the left, the harder trail. The trail to the right is easy to walk, but you wont see near as much glass to the right. Saw a baby sea lion, (the little cute white ones) on a rock close by at my last visit.
