Everything about this place is special. We arrived on a Saturday which meant happy hour! Our host Scott set up a beautiful spot outside with comfy seats, fire pits, and a wonderful assortment of drinks. It was great to chat with the other guests and Scott.

Absolutely exceeded our expectations. They don’t show on the room pics that there’s a JACUZZI anddddd a FIREPLACE! It’s a super beautiful room, spacious, clean and perfectly isolated from any outside noise and even neighbors. The balcony view is so stunning, we felt in a dream. We didn’t wanna leave the next day! The cherry on top was the gentleman who checked us in when we arrived in the evening, kind, friendly and extremely sweet!! We had the best new years experience and they allowed us to have a late check out. We will definitely stay here every single time we go back to fort bragg.

No more sea glass there because tourists have taken it all.

No more sea glass there because tourists have taken it all. Extremely difficult to access this beach or any others. Town of Fort Bragg has very little to offer tourists except that the area surrounding is sooo beautiful for miles around. If you go, don't miss a visit to Mendocino; great shopping, great food!

There is a beach full of tumbled glass but I was confused by the advertising of this place on social media and tourist sites. The media seems to want you to explore the "Glass Beach" area and find this Glass but signs posted all around it are not promoting that you actually are not supposed to climb down to the beach.....the beach cliffs are spectacular for viewing the tides as they roll in and out, but the media hypes up going to glass beach for tourists and the locals are angry the media depict this area as a visitation spot. The tourists are taking a lot of the local beauty off the beach and ruining this fantastic spot because they are given false information about the Glass on the beach. Fish and Wildlife officers actually watch for people who take anything off the beach. It is policed! And you will be fined if you are caught.

I was very excited to finally be visiting Glass Beach.

I was very excited to finally be visiting Glass Beach. When we arrived I was expecting to see beach areas covered in sea washed glass as photos and past descriptions have alluded to. What I saw was beach areas covered with people and a very small area with sea glass in the sand. I imagine that much of the glass has been hauled off by tourists despite signs asking that the glass not be removed. People were walking away with bags of glass. I was very disappointed.

Awesome place to go and experience.

Awesome place to go and experience. The glass is from an old dump that used to sit there. I only know this from talking to locals, there is no sign of any kind of dump there now, except maybe a large piece or two of bent, rusted steel, and the most beautifully colored, completely smooth pieces of glass, all along the beach. Take the trail to the left, the harder trail. The trail to the right is easy to walk, but you wont see near as much glass to the right. Saw a baby sea lion, (the little cute white ones) on a rock close by at my last visit.

Big spacious rooms, clean and well maintained (mostly). Lots of parking space right in front of the rooms. Good gardens to sit around. Place available for bonfire. Great location. Very close to Glass beach and Pudding Creek beach. Close to other points in Mendocino as well.

Location, cleanliness of the room, shout out to Sabrina for her insight on where to go on Glass Beach. Our balcony room overlooked the harbor, just beautiful. A great place to stay if you're going to be in Ft. Bragg. Also, the flowers around the hotel grounds are spectacular!

The good: * Staff, which were wonderful, went out of their way to assist me with an accessible room on arrival. * Room was clean, but also felt worn and a bit dated. * Bed was ok, but again, felt like it was near its expiration date. * This hotel accepts pets ($25.00/pet/night for our visit). Many others in the area do not. * Conveniently located to several decent restaurant choices and worthwhile visits such as Russian Gulch State Park, Point Cabrillo Light Station, and Glass Beach.

The view is outstanding, and there is direct access to a trail that takes you to the Glass Beach. There also is a Tesla charger (I didn't expect that) and our room was right behind the charger (room 40). Full car in the morning (there is a supercharger in town in case the hotel charger is busy). I confirmed both units work.

Nice quiet hotel for families with kids or dogs. Room was clean, and the hotel was within walking distance of kid-friendly restaurants. Noyo harbor and Pomo Bluffs Park are close by as are highways 1 and 20. Glass Beach and Pudding Creek Beach are just a few minutes drive up highway 1.

I liked the location of Captains Quarters. It was walking distance to the older section of Fort Bragg that has restaurants such as North Coast Brewery Pub. It is also walking distance to the Skunk train and about a 20-25 minute walk to Glass Beach. Our room was on the top floor so it was also very quiet. Becky made pancakes and had Thanksgiving Coffee available for breakfast.

This s a great place to stay, conveniently located right near the glass beach in Ft Bragg (maybe 5 mins walk away from the beach). There’s a great cafe adjacent to the hotel, and Ft Bragg’s nice downtown is also easily within walking distance.
