Title: A Comfortable Stay in the Heart of Chicago: Hotel Blake Review I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Blake during a trip to Chicago, and I must say that it exceeded my expectations in every way. Despite being classified as a 3-star establishment, the level of comfort and convenience provided by the hotel easily rivals that of a 5-star accommodation. One of the standout features of Hotel Blake is its prime location, which places it within convenient walking distance of all major attractions in the area. Additionally, the presence of a diverse array of dining options, cafes, a salon, and a spa in close proximity to the hotel adds a layer of convenience and luxury to the overall experience. My mornings at Hotel Blake were a true delight, thanks to the exceptional breakfast served at Meli Cafe. It's safe to say that it was one of the best breakfast experiences I've ever had, and it set a positive tone for the rest of my days in the city. Upon entering my room, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness and the comprehensive array of amenities provided. From the inclusion of an iron and ironing board to the thoughtful provision of an umbrella, it was evident that the hotel had taken great care to ensure that guests' needs were not only met but exceeded. The bathroom, in particular, exuded an air of luxury and elegance that added a touch of indulgence to my stay. The overall ambiance of the room contributed to a sense of warmth and comfort that made it easy to relax and unwind after a day of exploration. In conclusion, Hotel Blake proved to be a highly comfortable and welcoming place to stay during my time in Chicago. I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable and enjoyable visit to the city. From the exceptional amenities to the prime location, this hotel left a lasting impression and is sure to enhance any traveler's experience in the Windy City.

FAQs about hotels in Chicago

Our Kind of Town

Standing proud beside Lake Michigan, Chicago is down-to-earth, friendly, and full of culture. It has outdoor art by famous artists including Chagall and Picasso, and there are some fascinating architectural works from the Art Institute of Chicago.

Home to blues and house music, Chicago has an eclectic music scene that reflects its spirit. The Windy City is also a pioneer in a variety of Americanized dishes from it's European immigrant roots like deep-dish pizza and the Chicago hot dog.

The world’s first skyscraper and Ferris wheel were erected in Chicago. The latter, on Navy Pier, is one of the Midwest’s most visited sights. Also famed is the ‘L’ transport system, whose raised trains circle The Loop, the main business district. Check out its skyline reflection in the shiny bean sculpture in huge Millennium Park.

Home of the Bulls and Bears, Chicago is a stronghold of sport and has teams playing baseball, basketball, American football and hockey, to name a few. If you get a chance, try to catch a game.

Chicago Midway and Chicago O’Hare Airport are both on the outskirts of this vast city, so make sure to leave enough time for travel from your Booking.com hotel, apartment or hostel. And all that jazz.

There is so much to do in Chicago.

There is so much to do in Chicago. If you don't mind walking, then get your walking shoes on as it is possible to walk from the museum campus to Navy Pier and enjoy all of the sites in between. However, if you also want to travel further around without all the walking, I recommend the 7 day pass on the Ventra Card. You can't beat the price and it gives you access to all CTA transportation throughout the city.

I was surprise that Chicago is so beautiful, tourist and citizen friendly. I lived in NYC before but I think Chicago offers better tourism values than NYC. It's public transportation cost is cheaper. City has a free zoo and conservatory which I enjoyed very much. We also enjoyed a Sunday in th Park public symphony on Sunday night. As for safety, we did not go to the dangerous places. But in downtown and Uptown, it looks pretty safe and people are really friendly to offer helps whenever I needed. it was a great experience for this Chicago tour.

Chicago is definitely a walking city.

Chicago is definitely a walking city. We had to walk up many stairs with our luggage as the escalator going to the Main Street from subway were never in the direction of the exit. Very surprised there are no public restrooms around the city’s/in stores. I’m used to being able to walk into a store/restaurant and use the restroom freely.

Just walk! Do it- there's so much to discover on foot.

Just walk! Do it- there's so much to discover on foot. Absolutely loved the Skydeck experience, the River Architecture tour, walking along the lake Michigan and visiting one of the beaches and taking a dip in that lovely water. The House of Blues must be tried for dinner, drinks and live music, and Navy Pier of course. A surprise was visiting the cultural centre - amazing beautiful building and they happened to have a live free jazz concert along with the many different exhibitions on the diverse cultures of Chicago. Enjoy the Windy City!

Chicago has so many things to do, that would please everyone. However, if there's only one thing that you can do in Chi Town - make it an architecture river tour. Absolutely entertaining and fascinating, along with some great views. Make sure to check out Buddy Guy's Legends - a great blues bar with lots of good music and atmosphere.
