The July 4th parade went down Seawall Ave and the city fireworks happened nearby. Again, the location could not have been better for being part of the festivities! We took teen girls for a birthday night out on the island (I was happy they allowed single night rental on the weekend.) It was an easy drive to get to Pleasure Pier, Beach, Strand. The house directions were extremely detailed. When we got back from activities, we talked to a very nice neighbor letting his dog out. He seemed to put my mind at ease that the neighborhood was a place we wanted to stay (I don't know Galveston neighborhoods.) Cute and thoughtful decoration. Beach chairs outside the room. Big pool with different heights, a “waterfall”, shade and plenty of pool beds. I don’t usually eat hotel breakfast but I went to get a coffee and ended up having a feast! Lots of options and so delicious. We walked across the street to the beach which was very convenient as well as the restaurants and pleasure pier. On the weekends they had fresh cookies and water/juice in the lobby that my kids enjoyed so much. The breakfast was good and differed slightly each day. Each time we came back on the weekend days the room was cleaned and fresh towels were provided.
