getting from port to airport is easy if you use the rail system and get the correct train running the correct direction. There is a service at the port which take one to a shuttle which take you to the start of the rail. Ask questions and for $2.25 you get to airport. Takes 2+hours from port to airport

We stayed overnight before a cruise so didn't really do much other than eat dinner and sleep. The port was okay and we appreciated the good organization and service by cruise ship companies who made port to airport transfers easy as well as the processing of cruise passengers during onboarding and offboarding. Would like to see more quality hotels that are budget friendly for those only in Miami for cruises though.

One of the easiest cruise ports to navigate.
One of the easiest cruise ports to navigate. Always easy to unload, find parking, and board the ship. Parking rates are reasonable. Entry and exit is easy. Stay near the port and enjoy Bayside Market before or after your cruise.

The port of Miami is totally not suitable for pedestrians, especially those lugging around heavy suitcases in the hot weather.
It's a good idea to splash for a vehicle with airco to get where you need to go.

My experience with the shuttle bus to the Port of Miami was horrible. As is 57-year-old woman I should not have to stand and jeopardize my life was getting to the Port. It was awful and overbooked several people including myself and my husband had to stand from the hotel to the Port of Miami. There was no type of structure to ensure the safety of the passengers on the bus. It was first come first serve and several people got on the bus before me even though they just arrived at the hotel.
Very clean hotel, the restaurant downstairs has breakfast and they give you a ticket for it. It looked very nice, but we didn’t make it down together for sit-down style. We took a cruise from Port of Miami and the transit service was very nice. We will stay here again, when we do another cruise.
The free shuttle from the airport to the hotel was very nice, and Raul was nice enough to tell us more about Miami. It was also nice that the shuttle ran even because our flight was delayed 7 hours. The breakfast was delicious, and many options were nice. The shuttle service to the port of Miami was cool too.
