So if you are on a budget and want to see the Statue of Liberty and get some pictures... you take the Staten Island Ferry which is FREE! It will get you close enough to take good pictures. Just be sure to get next to the rail on the side that passes the statue coming and going.

You can take the free boat ride To see Ellis island and Statue of Liberty’… People outside the station or the pavilion of the boat , will ask you to buy tickets, please don’t get carried away with there words… just go inside the ferry pavilion and you will see it’s mentioned , it’s free ride for everyone….
