Hotels That Guests Love in Port Elizabeth
  • The staff at the lodge were extremely hospitable, booking us dinner reservations for Christmas night, helping us make arrangements with a trustworthy taxi service after our rental car reservation was cancelled, and providing tips as we started our journey along the Garden Route. The room was very comfortable, and the option for breakfast in the room was a great way to start the day.

  • Owl House has the charm and the drawbacks of an older house - high ceilings, a real fireplace, funky plumbing, a broken floorboard in the kitchen. The feel was a cross between a B&B and a backpackers’ lodge. The host, Sean, is genial and accommodating and made us feel very welcome and comfortable. Facilities are basic - shared bathrooms, no WiFi - but the place was kept absolutely spotless and squeaky clean. For the price, a very good deal.

  • The location and surroundings are wonderful. The view from our unit and it’s braai facility was picturesque. The lodge is situated on a very beautiful part of the South African coastline with a wide variety of views and quaint beaches. The location of the lodge meant that the beach is a five-minute walk away.

  • We had a lovely stay and the staff were exceptional. Very friendly and could not do enough for you. We found a few items in the room that needed fixing and this was attended to immediately. We would certainly stay there again if we are in Port Elizabeth. When we booked through you we notified you that one of us was gluten intolerant. This was not passed on to the Guest Lodge. You also did not tell us that the Guest Lodge did Christmas lunch when we booked, otherwise we would have eaten there instead of the Boardwalk.

  • The room are very cozy. The view of the lodge (on the hill) is also super nice. Location and facilities are SUPERB for a backpacker. Even we stayed as a family.... Kids enjoyed much with the friendliness.
