Angelica, the host was very welcoming and supportive of our requests… she made the difference between visiting the usual nice structure and the lack of care (this happens a lot in Chile). The human factor in this place is the perk.

Ruth and her team are doing things right. It starts with the friendly staff (and perky rescue pets) at check-in. The rooms are impeccable. High-quality matress and bedding, beautiful wood materials, very nice bathroom with walk-in shower and excellent water pressure (not always a given in this part of the country). Large picture frame windows offering views of the surrounding scenery. The grounds are well kept with a focus on endemic species of trees and plants. We had dinner at their restaurant. Again, service with a smile and really good food. Breakfast was buffet style, with cooked-to-order eggs, a selection of pastries, meats, cheeses, smoked salmon, fresh baked bread, fruits, juices, etc. etc. We traveled around Chile for about a month, and this was hands down our favorite place.

Nothing. The host was mean and hostile from the moment we got there. The first and only bad experience I had on our trip. Stay away from this place and save yourself the trouble.

With mountain views, Baker Domo Lodge is located in Cochrane and has a restaurant, room service, bar, garden and terrace. Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge.

It was exceptional because I had never been in a dome before. A Remarkable experience in the Dome: The hosts were truly welcoming. The dome was spectacular with a wood-burning stove inside and you could hear the birds. The breakfast was also excellent.

Located in Puerto Tranquilo in the Aysén region, Turismo Don Hugo has accommodations with free private parking.

Love this place! Incredible view from room, fantastic food- be sure to eat dinner there it was some of the best food we had in Chile. Great setting along the Rio Baker.

We loved the beautiful floor to ceiling windows with the most incredible view of the lake and mountains. The staff is incredible and welcoming and it's close to Puerto Tranquilo.
