We loved the place due to its big surrounding garden, which is stunning and beautifully taken care of, and the team there which is super welcoming. The delicious breakfast was a new experience every day. You can spot wild animals (birds, frogs, spiders ...) on the premises and can hear the howler monkeys and many other sounds at night. I loved the power outlet on the patio. We would definetely come back!

Breakfast was always fresh, with delicious smoothies and crepes. All the staff members and owners were super nice and showed us attention. The villa was well equipped, comfortable and very clean.

Both WiFi and private parking are available at the lodge free of charge. The bungalows are comfortable and well equipped as is the common kitchen area. The grounds are beautiful and full of wildlife. Very quiet and peaceful. We liked it so much we came back for 4 more days!

The house was beautiful and we loved our outdoor "tree-shower". There is a beautiful path to the beach via the property full of nice decorations. Along the path you can pickup some beach toys to borrow and on the beach there are benches and shelter from the sun, it was perfect! On the property and along the beach we saw green macaw, howler monkeys, one sloth and several poison-dart frogs. It is a short walk to town for restaurants and groceries and visiting the national park.

If you would like to discover the area, cycling is possible in the surroundings and the lodge can arrange a bicycle rental service. We had an excellent stay at Playa Grande Lodge. The grounds are lovely with plenty of wildlife. We were really lucky as we even saw a sloth in the garden! Our appartment was beautiful, clean and had everything we needed. The fact that the hotel is beachfront was a big bonus. We loved going for a morning walk on Playa Grande to watch the sunrise. And finally the hosts, Gianluca and Mia, are wonderfull: very welcoming and they gave us great tips for exploring the area. Would highly reccomend!

Free WiFi and free private parking is available on site. Werner was extremely nice and very accommodating. Even brought us candles when the power went out. He also decorated the porch for my birthday, which was a nice surprise!
