The host was really friendly, considered our comfort for example by serving us dinner to our room. The dome we stayed in was comfortable. The area is quiet so it was nice to hear the sounds of nature arround you. We felt peace and was able to disconecr from our busy last days in Costa Rica.

Little paradise on Earth - tucans, monkeys, hummingbirds and parrots right outside cabinas' terrace. And a cat was our roommate. Plus helpful owner, village center within walking distance and clean interior. 10/10, highly recommend.

This is like luxury camping, where the place is a mix between a tent and an apartment. We had a nice view of the mountains, which we enjoyed from our terrace with a hammock, and we cooked on the gas stove. It was so peaceful. My biggest fear was sleeping without air conditioning, but we slept well. The beds are comfortable, and the fan and fresh air were sufficient for good sleep.

This was exactly what I was looking for. Something deeper in the jungle yet close to Uvita and the coast. Just the peace and quiet and closeness to Nature I needed. And the cabin has no glass windows, just screens, so you can hear the music of the jungle very clearly. Nights were spectacular. I loved falling asleep to the symphony of the the surrounding wilderness and waking up to the sounds of roosters and howler monkeys (: The property has access to a river and mini waterfall which was very tranquil and serene. The drive to the cabin was a fun little adventure in itself and 4x4 is recommended. The hill that leads down to the cabin is ultra steep but you have the option to park atop the hill and walk down which is a short jaunt. The host, Wouter, was amazingly attentive, personable, and chill. He would always respond to my questions/ messages quickly. You could not ask for a better host. I can recommend Loft del Rio with total confidence and rate it a perfect 10. If you are looking to experience an immersive jungle experience that is also close to the coast, this is it.

Jungle Living Tree Houses se nachází v destinaci Monteverde Costa Rica a nabízí zahradu a terasu. Nedaleko se nachází Monteverde Butterfly Gardens a Monteverde Ecological Sanctuary. There are 3 tree houses. Initially I was disappointed because our tree house was overlooking the car park. However, the car park only ever had the maximum of 3 cars so it’s not an issue. Inside we turned the armchairs around to face the trees. Within a few minutes of settling in 2 beautiful birds flew down and perched on the branches of the trees right in front of us. The coatis took more time to visit but they really put on a show. We really didn’t know what to expect from a treehouse but the house was really comfy and the bed was high enough so we could see the trees while lying in bed. we had a brilliant time. Edwin gave us lots of good tips about where to eat and places to visit which we really appreciated. I would definitely recommend the experience.
