The owner is exceptionally friendly and we loved every bit of the stay. The room was clean and the view is breathtaking, if you are heading to monteverde and want a nice place to stay, definitely go for this. Christian made sure that we felt comfortable and he helped us to plan activities as well as had great recommendations. We will most definitely stay there again if we decide to visit costa rica again

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. This was my favorite part of my trip in Costa Rica. It is magical here and I hope I have that chance to visit again. My only regret is not staying longer. I had the breakfast one morning, which was lovely. The facilities are minimal. This is easily managed if planned for. There is no fridge in the little pod I stayed in, but there is a microwave. The microwave was enough for me to have a couple small meals. People have mentioned more counter space would be nice. I found it good enough. I had my things organized under the bed. Having the travel packing pods was useful. It is remote, and I suggest bringing in your own drinking water. I didn't get sick or anything, but as a precaution, that is my advice. There are lovely outdoor seating areas. I traveled with a small collapsible chair. It was great for this location, as well as when I visited beaches in other parts of the country. There are great knock off versions of the helinox chairs. If you bring one for your trip you won't regret it. This place is very special, and I offer these little tips so that you can enjoy this accommodation as much as I have. I cannot express enough how beautiful and magical the location is with the surrounding jungle covered mountains. For context. I am a solo female traveler. I felt very safe in this remote location. I had a suv rental from Adobe (very excellent car rental). I didn't need the 4wd, but had it been raining, then I likely would have used it a bit. Definitely need the high clearance on the vehicle. There was only 1 spot that required the clearance when i visited. I used the downhill assist when driving into the valley. That was very useful, and easier on the brakes. Driving back from Santa Elena in the dark was fine for me. Thank you to the hosts for having such beautiful and unique accommodations.

A terrace is available for guests at the lodge to use. It was totally lovely. I would definitely stay there again. Everything was clean and in great condition. Beautiful view from on high of the ocean. The workout equipment was nice too since we had a lot of rain while we were there.

Situated 600 metres from Carmen Beach, Little Escape offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.

At the lodge guests are welcome to take advantage of a hot tub. The location was good near of the beach, restaurants and supermarkets. The house is in middle of a forest and is really quiet and is easy to see birds and monkeys. The pool is really nice and the beach is near walking. The house was clean and have all we need to enjoy the week we spend there.

Located 12 km from Alturas Wildlife Sanctuary, Cabinas Costa Tropicana offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.

Nauyaca Waterfalls is 28 km from the lodge. The cottage was a real suprise! Everything worked well, was very clean, a lot od space, super shower, everything in the kitchen for cooking, huge refrigirator. You sleep in the jungle, we saw some animals. The owner from Netherland was super nice.

Featuring a garden, a terrace, and a restaurant, Private jungle “Loft del Rio” river access features accommodation in Uvita with free WiFi and mountain views. Boasting free private parking, the lodge is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking, fishing and snorkelling. This was exactly what I was looking for. Something deeper in the jungle yet close to Uvita and the coast. Just the peace and quiet and closeness to Nature I needed. And the cabin has no glass windows, just screens, so you can hear the music of the jungle very clearly. Nights were spectacular. I loved falling asleep to the symphony of the the surrounding wilderness and waking up to the sounds of roosters and howler monkeys (: The property has access to a river and mini waterfall which was very tranquil and serene. The drive to the cabin was a fun little adventure in itself and 4x4 is recommended. The hill that leads down to the cabin is ultra steep but you have the option to park atop the hill and walk down which is a short jaunt. The host, Wouter, was amazingly attentive, personable, and chill. He would always respond to my questions/ messages quickly. You could not ask for a better host. I can recommend Loft del Rio with total confidence and rate it a perfect 10. If you are looking to experience an immersive jungle experience that is also close to the coast, this is it.

Treetopia Park is 5 km from the lodge, while Selvatura Adventure Park is 7.1 km from the property. Fortuna Airport is 86 km away. The natural “feel” about the unit being in the forest was amazing. Within 24 hours, we saw Coati’s, Howler monkeys, Agusti’s, Motmot’s, Trogon’s. The host Edwin is available, personable, professional, helpful, and happy!! The self contained unit with fully functional kitchenette was great to have. The location was excellent with several excellent restaurants and a perfect supermarket within 5-10 minutes walk.

Treetopia Park is 9 km from the lodge, while Selvatura Adventure Park is 11 km away. Fortuna Airport is 88 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. This is a gem of a place which we highly recommend! El Sol enjoys magnificent views of the hills down to the plain being situated a couple of miles out of town where it is definitely warmer, sunnier and less wet. There are interesting gardens (plenty of birds) and a super pool area where you can swim, relax and watch the sunset in the evening. There are six different cabins, we stayed in three, all laid out with anything you might need with sunny views, one with a jacuzzi perched over the valley. The breakfast is superb and supper is available being tasty and convenient after a long day of sightseeing, alternatively there are plenty of suggestions to eat out. . Nothing is too much for Javier and Sian and their happy team. We liked El Sol so much that on our last night in Costa Rica we checked out of another hotel and came back to El Sol instead!
