This was followed with the host treating guests to star/planet viewing in his observatory. The room was simple but very spacious and comfortable. The grounds were well maintained with a beautiful and peaceful view. It felt like a destination on its own right and it is very convenient for visiting several nearby national parks. With google translate it was very easy to communicate with the host. Our stay was a very special experience and is a highly recommended stay in central Kyushu.

This is the best place I have ever stayed in OITA. The house is very nice and very cozy. It is very warm and the place is very beautiful! Even my mum and dad who do not normally say anything was very vocal how much they love the place. The owners were very helpful and very warm people too. Just a note that you cannot go here without a car because it is in the middle of the forest. But renting a car and going here was the best decision we have made for our whole Fukuoka trip!
