The lodge and its impressive location is a Must-see on very Namibian trip. Absolutely outstanding, combined with friendly staff, very good chefs and an infinte pool that takes your breath away.

Surrounded by natural African gardens, this eco-friendly lodge offers bright rooms with a terrace overlooking the Gurib River bed. Alte Kalkofen has to be one of the best places we have stayed in Namibia. The lodge was just so well designed down to the smallest detail. Re-use of materials makes it such a unique place. The food too was excellent. The Lithops greenhouse is definitely worth a visit. Exceeded all expectations. 100% recommended.
