Had a meal in the restaurant, great food and wine.

Everything about Te Mata lodge was fantastic, location, rooms and the wonderful stafff.
The fabulous lady at reception knew what was going on in town and was able to guide us re-taxes etc for Napier. Property is easy to find, close to Hastings city. The breakfast that was available at the Motorlodge was fabulous. Partner had cooked breakfast, the bees knees! And the continental breakfast was huge. A bonus was there was real milk and the unit and on the breakfast trays, not tiny little milk sachets.
The grounds were amazing - fantastic gardens and creative use of surroundings. The kitchen lounge was tasteful and easy to use from our Lodge room.
My friend and I travelled to Hawkes Bay for the Art Deco festival and stayed at Te Mata Lodge. We loved the stay at the motel, it was far better than I expected. The two-room apartment was roomy, the beds were comfortable and the bathroom was extra large. We really liked that the motel room was serviced every day; many accommodation providers no longer do this. We were at the back of the complex so it was nice and quiet. And the service was very nice as well.
Was a perfect place to stay for a local wedding. Our family basically filled out the lodge - the newer area is very nice and the older section is similar in facilities, just a lot older. The pool was nice, and the kids loved the trampoline & swing. The staff were incredibly lovely. Location & parking were great.
We didn’t have breakfasts at the motor lodge and we had taken food with us for breakfast's.
Friendly staff and very clean room with great spa bath and everything we needed. Enjoyed the radio and wifi with movie channels. Very nice lodge.
