Featuring lake views, Arctic Gourmet Cabin in Kiruna features accommodation, free bikes, a garden, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. Both WiFi and private parking are accessible at the lodge free of charge. The host, Johan, was really nice and hospitable and the location itself was lovely as it was remote and allowed us to gaze up at the aurora without light pollution getting in the way. Unfortunately I believe those were the only two reasons I was not entirely disappointed with my choice.

Rooms at Abisko Mountain Lodge include free WiFi and a private bathroom with shower. Cottages feature a kitchenette and private toilet. The shared shower facilities are located in the sauna and relaxation area, 30 metres from the cottages. This place is amazing! So cozy, so lovely. And perfect for chasing aurora.

Reindeer Lodge features a sauna and free private parking, and is within 23 km of Kiruna Train Station and 20 km of Kiruna Bus Station.

Buffet and continental breakfast options are available at the lodge. A magical experience. We lived in a hut with reindeers just right beside! Shower rooms were also very clean and amenities are complete. Amazing hospitality as well. We get free entry to Sami and reindeer museum. Breakfast and dinner is also included which is super worth it. It’s also very near ice hotel. Love it and totally will recommend to anyone!!

Set in Jukkasjärvi, 23 km from Kiruna Train Station and 21 km from Kiruna Bus Station, Camp Caroli Wooden Cabins offers accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and garden views.

The lodge features a barbecue. Good location for northern lights. The frozen lake is just by the side of the Camp.

Aurora Camp Kurravaara offers a range of accommodation from simple cabins and cottages without running water, to unique glass huts and private fully equipped cabins. In the summer Aurora Camp Kurravaara also offers tree tents. Bed linen and towels are always included. Our lake view cottage was exactly as in the pictures. Aurora Camp is in a beautiful location in the wilderness and a great spot to see the Northern Lights. Unfortunately when we stayed it was cloudy. Staff were very welcoming. Aurora camp offers the opportunity to experience sleeping in an igloo. There is no running water and the toilet / showers are communal (clean) in the main area about 200m from the main part of the camp. I used the sauna for my shower and had a snow bath - very refreshing. The drive down the road can be a little scary, so just take it easy.

Arctic Island - Remote island, reachable only by boat or snowmobile offers a sauna and free private parking, and is within 18 km of Kiruna Train Station and 15 km of Kiruna Bus Station.

LKAB Visitor Centre is 18 km from the lodge, while Esrange Space Center is 31 km from the property. Kiruna Airport is 11 km away, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. Location is perfect for watching aurora
