A Serene Escape into Nature at Kirin Farm, Chiang Mai
Kirin Farm is an absolute gem nestled in the lush countryside of Chiang Mai. If you’re looking to swap the city’s hustle for a peaceful, hands-on farm experience, this is the place to go.
Atmosphere:
The farm radiates tranquility, with sprawling green fields, misty mountain views, and fresh air that instantly relaxes you. The rustic charm of wooden structures and vibrant flower gardens adds to its idyllic vibe—perfect for nature lovers and photographers! My favorite part of the day was enjoying the morning sun with a cup of coffee on the balcony, soaking in the warmth and serenity.
Activities:
Feeding the friendly goats was a highlight, but the adventure didn’t stop there! Jen, a wonderful staff member, kindly directed us to a scenic viewing point near a hiking trail, just a 2-hour walk from the farm. The trail offered breathtaking panoramas of the surrounding valleys—a hidden gem for explorers! We also took a one-hour motorbike ride to the Chiang Mai Blue Hot Spring, a stunning natural hot spring with crystal-clear blue waters. It was the perfect addition to our farm stay, offering relaxation and a unique experience.
Food:
The farm’s kitchen serves delicious farm-to-table dishes bursting with freshness. We devoured their hotpot, stir-fried vegetables, and fried rice—all brimming with natural flavors. It’s incredible how ingredients picked straight from the soil can taste so vibrant!
Hospitality:
The staff were warm, responsive, and genuinely passionate about sharing their sustainable lifestyle. Jen went above and beyond to make our stay seamless. She arranged a reasonably priced car pickup from Chiang Mai Old Town to the farm, easing our transportation worries. She also helped us arrange motorbike delivery to the farm, which made exploring the area so convenient. Her guidance and the team’s attentiveness made our visit unforgettable.

We loved the Twenty Lodge! everything was simply great - the rooms, the pool, breakfast, the staff. We felt so welcome and the service was simply outstanding. We also liked the fact they had a great foot and Tai massage at the hotel and they even agree to accept us by 7pm although it was already suppose to close up! We had a wonderful experience and we felt sorry we stayed only for 1 night before moving out of the city. We definitely recommend this small yet cozy hotel.
I chose this lodging because of its location. I was not disappointed. It is close to both the NE slopes of Doi Suthep and the Huai Tueng Thao paddies, both of which were brilliant for bird watching. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean and comfortable. I was also able to hire a bike very nearby to explore the local area.
The lodge was located on a quiet back street which was great. What was even better it still is soooo close to main area of Chiang Mai! Great location. Fred is super helpful, recommending things to do, trips, food spots. We had such a good stay!!!
It's a professional lodge standard hotel with all the facilities you expect at a great price. Breakfast is a bonus. This is a regular stay for us whenever we visit Chiang Mai.
Really beautiful lodgings
The Raming Lodge is centrally located. Easy to walk everywhere and sample the restaurants and drinking holes. The staff were great. The room was clean and the bed huge as well as the room..shower room excellent. Breakfast was very good. For the price I cannot fault this hotel and I will defo stay again when I next visit Chiang Mai
When I arrived I was surprised at how good the hotel was I have stayed in many travelodges in England so was expecting much but to my surprise this is like a 5 star Hotel with lovely rooms , very comfortable beds , great shower and bathroom , really good choice of breakfast, great swimming pool great design in the lobby and front desk , to tell the truth I couldn't believe it was travelodges and it was a quarter of the price of the ones in the uk booked through booking .com
I`m personally attracted by hotels in a natural setting. Royal Ping Garden is one of those. Few hotels can claim to have a genuine natural environment including the sounds and scents that are part of that. The well designed wooden lodges are tasteful and attractive. The rooms are comfortable.
Very kind and helpful hosts who went our of their way to assist us. Comfortable lodges with balcony and a nice little plunge pool. Breakfasts were good too, particularly the coffee and cakes
