A family of four stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bed apartment directly above the pub. + Superb quality of decor, fixtures and fittings, very comfortable and practical space to stay in + A very 'cosy' pub with beautiful decor and the log burners going which was nice + Extremely approachable, attentive and sharp staff + Very high quality food and beers + One of the few places we've stayed that we'd definitely stay at again! + Beautiful, quiet village locale with a lovely walk up to the 'three hills'

Stayed one night, the room was perfect, spotlessly clean and one of the most comfortable beds I have ever had in a hotel. The grounds were beautifully kept, set in quiet countryside. Breakfast was freshly cooked and very tasty.

The staff were lovely and friendly, it's in a great location, right in the town centre. There was a good amount of parking. Pretty powerful shower. Had the basics when you just need somewhere to sleep.

The staff here were incredibly friendly and absolutely made the trip. For any negatives I had about my stay, they were made up for by how friendly the staff were. Breakfast was delicious and the cocktails that the bar served were top notch. The hotel is centrally located in Haverhill and very handy. If I find myself back in Haverhill I'd absolutely stay here again.

LOCATED IN OPEN COUNTRY ABOUT 30 MINUTES DRIVE SOUTH OF CAMBRIDGE. APPEARS TO DERIVE MOST OF ITS INCOME FROM CONFERENCES AND WEDDINGS BUT NOTHING ON THE DAY I STAYED. THERE WAS ONLY ONE OTHER PERSON STAYING AT THE HOTEL. ROOM WAS SPACIOUS AND COMFORTABLE WITH GOOD BREAKFAST.

There wasn't any breakfast due to the heatwave but we were informed beforehand. We have stayed here before know the hotel and area well. The hotel is a bit tired now and could do with a good make over.

An old pub with rooms above. Due to its age it was tired and the floorboards creaked like mad. But for us it was good, the pub had karaoke on in the evening and the locals were friendly and pleasant. Our room (9) was comfortable and clean, like we said tired but it was fine and comfortable with no frills. For an overnight it served us well, we didnt hear any pub noise in our room and enjoyed a good sleep. Thanks

The hotel met more than my needs and the staff were very helpful and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I will certainly not hesitate to stay again should the need arise. It was close to the town and there was a bus stop more or less opposite and a large supermarket just a few hundred yards away. I couldn't ask for more.

A superb little hotel, with a beautiful bedroom with a nice warm, homely feel to it with a modern, clean and very well maintained bathroom. The staff were terrific too, very helpful and friendly and the lunch and breakfast that I ate during my stay was first class and good value for money. As a person who spends many nights in hotels on business, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this one for my leisure trip. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if I’m in the area again it will be at top of my list for an overnight stay.

The grounds were ok but everything was run down and there were rat traps everywhere. You were not allowed in the main hotel so you only had the outbuildings which were unkempt and not fit for purpose.
