This town is so cool to visit. Next time we will come in summer to visit other little mountain towns nearby. Make sure you get the hot pudding!!!

The guesthouse is occupied by an elderly couple. Even if the communication was a bit difficult (They speak little english and I speak little japanese) they were always very kind and helpful. A free little breakfast was included every morning, and they washed and dried my clothes for me free of charge. All in all a very warm and welcoming service.

Set 800 metres from Gero Station, Yukai Resort Gero Saichoraku Bekkan offers 3-star accommodation in Gero and features an open-air bath. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, a lift and luggage storage for guests.

The staff was very nice. I can only speak a little Japanese and he was very helpful, he tried to respond to my questions and explained the hotel rules to me in English. I appreciate the effort. The room is excellent. It exceeded my expectation. It was so big for single occupancy. I have a nice view of the mountain. I don't if it's a new system but I like the scheduling at the front desk where you write your room number if you want to use the onsen at a certain time. I think it is very convenient to look at whether someone is using it or not at your desired time. I used the open-air and indoor onsen and I was always using it alone. The dinner and breakfast are excellent. It feels so luxurious and you have so many options like you can cook nabe, grilled, western food, etc.

The room was spacious, with two main rooms that can be used for leisure and sleep. Also appreciate the extra seating area with the coffee machine. The in-room bathroom was well equipped and the private outdoor bath with hot spring was a great place to relax in. The dining experiences were fantastic—the Hida beef dishes were particularly memorable—and they made minor tweaks for my 6-year-old so he was able to enjoy his meals too.

There's a shuttle bus right outside the train station that brings you to the hotel, but it's close enough to walk all the same. The staff would greet you at the door, and the service is impeccable. Each hot spring has a different vibe, so be sure to check them out. Dinner at both restaurants were amazing, and breakfast overlooks the fall colours.

Room was average. Dinner and breakfast were Kaiseki style, served in our room by a male Japanese speaking staff who took the trouble to Google translate all the different dishes to English. He was very polite. Driver who drove us to the train station on the day of check out was extremely accommodating n helpful. The ladies' public onsen .. The Rose Bath was quite nice but with very few flowers. Different from the photo in the hotel website with lots of flowers.

Staff went above and beyond. Super friendly and helpful. When a dinner time was arranged and the time couldn't be realiser, the receptionist kept apologizing for the later dinner, which was really sweet. The guy who served me dinner explained in very good English what my dinner was and how to best enjoy it. The traditional Japanese room was huge and it was great seeing a few Japanese men make up my bed. Location is simply mindblowing and the scenery around the hotel is beautiful.
