I loved Casa Gajah’s close proximity to the miles-long uninterrupted beach, just a short 1 block walk away. I enjoyed long walks on the beach, watching the sunrise, and collecting shells (the beach is the most amazing beach for shelling that I’ve ever encountered -I came home with lots of “treasures”, lol). The owner Federico is a friendly soul who makes guests immediately feel welcome and like family, and his sweet and kind assistant King is also very helpful. The on-site dog Spartacus (“Sparta”) is such a gem -so well behaved, respectful and sweet. I appreciated the positive energy in the hotel, and enjoyed the special design touches throughout, such as the bathroom design and color in my room. The Italian restaurant a short walk from the hotel is not to be missed -delicious food and pasta made from scratch. I enjoyed my stay at Casa Gajah so much that I ended up extending for another night! It’s an amazing value for your stay!

The situation of LunArena is exceptional at the end of the beach front street in El Cuyo next to a biosphere reserve and almost with your feet on the beach. All personnel are service minded and attentive to your needs, Ana, one of the managers speak English and is very helpful and has a good knowledge of the activities and services you get and participate in El Cuyo. They have in their rooms those hanging beds, we never had tried them before but we loved it, to be rocked like in a crib like bed is nice and relax. We will be back to LunArena.

The rooms are big and beds are comfy - thankful for air con and ceiling fans 🙏🏽. The roof top deck is amazing - to watch the sunset from there is quite spectacular. Lau the receptionist is super friendly and helpful.- also the cute Laguna cafe below the hotel is delicious.

This is a great place to stay when El Cuyo: Wuiet, Clean, Comfortable, and the property manager, Don, in incredibly responsive and welcoming. When we stayed there was an older woman there who apparently suffered beginning stages of dementia and Don dealt with her frequent interruptions of other guests in a kind, caring, and effective manner.

The restaurant was really good. They have a paella night a couple nights a week which seems to attract people from across the town. The place had such a nice vibe and felt like a hub for the area. Very short walk to the beach. Highlight is the staff who were so nice, especially Aranza who was so friendly and helpful to us.

Bathroom is super clean and 100% working, something to remark is that this place has treated water!!! Pool and jacuzzi are just perfect and cleaned every day. Breakfast is very tasty and generous; I had the chance to taste some lunch dishes and they were so good! Staff is just wonderful, very kind and polite.
