Luxury Hotels in Old Goa

A really classy establishment, just outside old Goa. Staff were exceptionally good and attentive, and extremely helpful in meeting my requests and helping me organise activities during my stay, and overcoming logistical problems. Very comfortable rooms, a excellent stay. Quiet, relaxing, just what I needed after Delhi.

I came in not knowing what to expect and was blown away. It's the real deal, if you want an authentic ayurveda yoga experience. The food, treatments, on site caring doctor, yoga teacher. It's complete without being militant. If you really wanted, bars were 5 minutes away. The week I was there, everyone there was like-minded, seeking growth, self awareness, improving health, and not just exploiting India for an affordable holiday (which gets very depressing). The ethnic diversity was wonderful --I am diaspora Indian and met other desis from Sydney, US, France. This felt very affirming. Food was fantastic, satvick, plentiful, diverse. The details paid to attention such as different infusions daily, cucumber one day, watermelon the next, was also amazing. I kept looking forward to every meal -- not the goal of a yoga retreat but it was a losing battle. Food in Goa is frequently unctuous and I like this experience too but ..... Yash the yoga teacher was serious and sweet. His routines had very good flow and meditation and pranayama were serious one hour sessions in the evening. Yash teaches in a traditional Indian way-he moves along and expects that you'll.do as much or as little as you need. If you're used to western deconstructed teaching, you might get a bit lost but never fear, he's very enthusiastic about helping post class. In my case, he was super helpful after class to help adjust difficulties and fix problems I had with deep bends. In 5 minutes, I was doing deep forward bends effortlessly (I'm still in disbelief). I'd recommend chatting with him about individual problems-he is very good at diagnosis to fix and suggesting individualized exercises. We also did serious chanting before and after each session--generally absent with non Indian yoga teachers and sometimes even Indian yoga teachers if they're not trained comprehensively. The mantras were moving and consolidated the yoga experience.

I had booked the stay for my parents as it was Dad's 70th birthday and wanted everything to go well. The stay not only went well but exceeded my expectations! The entire staff was very helpful and exceptionally hospitable to my senior parents from navigating my parents throughout the hotel to customizing the food options according to their taste to as detailed as helping them playing the games - pool/air hockey etc. in the game room which brought smile to their faces and got their childish energy back! I would like to specially thank following staff members: Ravi Jadhav - restaurant/service area - immensely helpful and made my parents feel at ease throughout their stay. Chef Viraj - went out of his way to customize food options for them and had excellent cooking skills. Chef Narayan- excellent cooking skills! Also other staff members - Shweta, Sushean, Yogita, Deepesh who constantly checked after my parents comfort and if they needed anything. Special thanks to all the excellent housekeeping staff and management staff! I would like to thank Hilton for the offering an incredible memorable stay for my parents which truly made them feel special! If anyone is thinking about a special celebration for their parents/relatives without worrying about anything please definitely consider Doubletree Hilton, Panaji and get ready to be awed by their service and hospitality!! My parents definitely want to go back again! someday soon..!

I really like how clean the place was and whatever i requested I was always attended to my needs with friendliness and efficiency.

From the moment we were picked up at the airport we were catered to our every need with much preempted by the wonderful staff in The Astor Hotel. From the cleaning staff who left personalised messages in our room to the reception staff who organised shuttles. The bar and restaurant staff were all so superb and are a credit to this excellent hotel. We absolutely loved our time with you all and look forward to our return in the future.

Beautiful property! You really feel like you’re surrounded by nature with all the greenery of Anjuna but the rooms are very modern and beautifully done up. The staff is wonderful and looked after every need of ours.
