On arrival the property was as we had seen advertised. It was clean, spacious and looked comfortable. The view from the balcony is spectacular and the pool and outside area are superb. Unfortunately due to the recent hot weather, we were bitten alive and it was impossible to relax on the balcony. In the lounge we were also being bitten either from the rugs or the upholstery. Unfortunately this spoilt our stay in the apartment as we just couldn't relax anywhere.

We booked the apartment for a stay of about a week with a family of two adults and two kids. The place is really comfortable, stylishly designed and has all the necessary equipment. it was very spatious with two toilets/bathrooms and two large bedrooms. You have a private balcony with sea view (very pretty) and a swimming pool on the roof (for the whole building, but it was always empty so it felt like a private pool). We were to Madeira without a car, so for us it was extremelu convenient that the bus no 4 stops right next door and takes us to downtown Funchal (from where you can also catch other buses or taxis to make trips). We had a great time and strongly recommend the place, especially for families with children.

The host, Elizabeth, met us upon arrival and handed over the keys. The apartment is quite modern, well-furnished, and well-equipped with kitchenware and home appliances. Two separate spacious bathrooms have provided a lot of comfort for the group of 4 people. The big terrace is oriented towards the ocean and has a comfy sofa and armchairs. The parking place is located in the underground parking with direct access to the elevator. The location is amazing. The Lido public swimming area is a 10-minute walk away. The apartment was very clean and tidy when we arrived. As no new guests arrived the day we were leaving, Elizabeth suggested that we check-out later with no extra fee. This was very kind of her and very convenient for us. We left at 2 pm, however, the normal check-out time was 11 am. Also we were impressed when found a "welcome bottle of Madeira vine and home made liquors". The overall feeling and impression of the apartment, service, communication, and interpersonal connection with the host were above my expectations.

The property is in a great location close to Funchal center. The view of the ocean from the balcony is quite something especially the sunset. The property is top notch and is spacious as well. One of the few properties which has underground parking. So that’s a big plus. Antonio who managed the property is a gem who put us on to the right people for the island tours and catamaran cruise. I would advise you trust his judgement and advise on what to do and see when you are staying here. That really made a difference for our time in Madeira.
