I had the pleasure of staying at the Halvard Hotel on the Isle of Man and I must say that it was a fantastic experience. The staff were excellent, providing exceptional service throughout our stay. Located on the Isle of Man, in Douglas’s Marina, Waterfront Apartments feature self-catering accommodation with free Wi-Fi available throughout. The apartment was a great size, well-appointed and comfortable. I found the staff extremely helpful when I requested a change to a lighter duvet. It was changed immediately. The office staff were happy to offer suggestions on local activities and places of interest. There is a Tesco supermarket very close by, and an excellent Italian restaurant. Having a lift to the apartments was a welcome bonus.

Overlooking Douglas Bay, the 5-star Englewood Lodge offers individually designed rooms with luxury en suite facilities and sea views. Free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking are also available. It’s homely, cosey, comfortable. The facilities are to a fabulous srandard. We’ve stayed in the queen room and it’s just gorgeous. Stayed 3 times now and can’t wait to go back. Breakfast is 5 star. Nothing is to much trouble for Margaret and always welcomes you with a smile. Love love love it

The breakfast was very good. the technology in the hotel is so over the top. We do not need a toilet seat that lifts up when you enter the bathroom. There were reading lights on both sides of the bed but a switch on only one side which made it difficult for one person to read later than the other but not be able to switch the light off without getting out of bed and walking to the other side and then walking back in the dark.. We could not understand the TV as it was far too complicated
