Comprising an open-air bath and a garden, Kominka Mitsuhama Ryokan is a recently renovated accommodation in Matsuyama located close to Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. The accommodation provides full-day security, and luggage storage for guests. I don’t know where to begin. When we first came, the host met us with a refreshment drink, which was delicious. We stayed alone in the whole ryokan, which was beautiful, everyting is put together, everything in its own place, everything where you need it to be, things in little boxes, baskets, decorative plates. It was beautiful. There was complementary bottled water, tea, coffee and japanese sweets as well as fruit, which were all very delicious. The location is also nice, a bit away from all the fuss of the city, but easy to reach. As we were about to leave, the host also made us a little present with a cute note on top, that was very nice of him. All things considered, it was worth the money, we had a very nice stay that not only met, but exceeded our expectations.

We returned here in part to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Dogo Kan improved their facilities even more to our liking. The room was very spacious & the beds comfortable. The furo were relaxing, the kaiseki dinner & breakfast were delicious and checking-in/out was without effort. I also liked that our fellow guests were respectful & well-behaved. We've stayed at other onsens, where guests (foreign) needed to reminded about speaking too loud in the furo.

You can play table tennis at this 5-star ryokan. The hotspring facilities are all amazing. Especially, the private hotspring was quite comfortable and it was nice that they have several different options for it. Also, they have wide range of yukata which we can choose without paying any extra fee.
