There is a large living area besides the large bedroom that is yours to enjoy. The property is in the a quiet neighborhood with local restaurants within 3 or 4 blocks. Across the street is a manga library that you can explore. It’s all so gentle and accessible. I highly recommend you find this to answer your question as to what is Japan without the hype! Enjoy!!

We had stayed here eleven years ago & thought then that this was an excellent onsen. We returned here in part to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Dogo Kan improved their facilities even more to our liking. The room was very spacious & the beds comfortable. The furo were relaxing, the kaiseki dinner & breakfast were delicious and checking-in/out was without effort. I also liked that our fellow guests were respectful & well-behaved. We've stayed at other onsens, where guests (foreign) needed to reminded about speaking too loud in the furo.

The hotspring facilities are all amazing. Especially, the private hotspring was quite comfortable and it was nice that they have several different options for it. Also, they have wide range of yukata which we can choose without paying any extra fee.
