They are also conversant in English so communication was easy. Overall everyone was friendly. Location is best and the room was comfortable.

One of the best hotel/ryokan I’ve stayed! The decoration of the entire place is amazing, with so many details. The place is renovated from a 100 year old house. It has the traditional Japanese houses charm but also clean and comfortable (with AC and other amenities). The garden is beautiful - you can just tell how much efforts the host has put into this house. The host is very nice and helpful, offered to pick us up and bring us to the airport, and even asked whether we needed umbrella when we were visiting Matsuyama. The whole place felt so calm and peaceful, I slept very well every night and woke up with natural sunshine feeling refreshed. Simply stunning and highly recommended. The surrounding neighborhoods is also very interesting to walk around with lots of good restaurants to offer. Remember to check out the Italian restaurant Flor and the taco place just down the street!

The hotspring facilities are all amazing. Especially, the private hotspring was quite comfortable and it was nice that they have several different options for it. Also, they have wide range of yukata which we can choose without paying any extra fee.
