This gives the hotel a very cozy feel despite its size. The staff is extraordinary. I never had to wait to talk to a staff member and they were very helpful. The onsen is one of the best I experienced in larger hotels like this. It is a very nice oasis to come back to after a long day. I particularly liked that they also have a sauna. The location is ideal. There are lots of restaurants and bars literally right outside the hotel, the lake and the castle are both just a short stroll away. If I come back to Matsue, I will stay here again for sure.

The welcome hospitality was thoughtful, and both dinner and breakfast were delicious and plentiful. The staff carefully explained the menu. They also serve supper, it’s so delicious.

The included high quality Japanese breakfast was both fresh and delicious. Make sure to take up the Italian dinner option in a local restaurant. It was one of the best meals of our holiday!

Our room was fantastic, with a large sitting area, separate sleeping area with comfortable beds and private outdoor onsen. Staff were uniformly friendly, helpful and polite. Our meals were excellent and very filling. Each large window in our room looked out on different areas of an impeccably designed garden. We are already planning our next visit.
