The Sri Lankan curry and Sri Lankan breakfast were incredible and the portion sizes were huge. The added extras were a bonus such as the complimentary 10 minute massage, the welcome drink, afternoon tea and mocktail with dinner. The location was perfect for safari. The staff were so accommodating and friendly!! The attention to detail at this hotel was fabulous, we could not understand how they manage to keep everything so clean and pristine but they do. We both agreed that this is one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had!!

We stayed for three days, it was three days of absolute peace, relaxation and fantastic views. There are only mountains, rice fields and wildlife around. Giant squirrels came to us for breakfast while we tasted the best tea in the world. A wonderful, courteous, friendly team that treats guests like beloved relatives. They are ready to respond to any whim (guys, we miss you already). To get to the most stunning views, the hotel provides you with transportation. And there is also a Spa where you can get treatments in complete unity with nature. In short, we have loved this place forever.

Great pool, amazing fruit coctails and tasty food, nice rooms and max comfort. Loved the local staff, they were very helpful and kind, especially the manager Mr Serasinghege, who arranged us everything we needed, in minutes, including Sankapala tempel tour. If we will visit Udawalawe in future, we will definitely go back to this luxurious hotel.

They gave us an extra early checkout at 5am due to us going on safari at 0530. The pool area was also very nice, and the room was clean and beautiful. It was also pretty close to the entrance of the Udawalawe National Park.

And we have a very nice dinner at the hortel resturant.

This is a lovely place I can only recommand. *the sun rise just in front the bed is just magic!
