The Staff were all so welcoming and friendly, our Earth cabin was so spacious, well equipped and comfortable, and the view was great. we loved the natural spring pool, hot tub, pizza oven, sauna, walks around the property and along the river, and the gardens.

The motel was very quiet, which allowed us to get a restful night's sleep. The room was clean and well-maintained, and the bed was very comfortable. It was a great option for a peaceful and comfortable stay.

The location is perfect - right on the beachfront. Apartment is spacious and clean with good facilities. The pool area is lovely. Big car park underneath that is safe and secure

Just a short drive away from busy Paihia, you find this very clean and well maintained Motel. We enjoyed the pool in the lush gardens. The rooms are spacious, with super comfy beds. Highly recommend, we would come again!

A lovely apartment with stunning views across the bay. Bob and Margaret were wonderful hosts, providing us with lots of useful information. We enjoyed the fresh fruit which was left for us and the beers in the fridge. It was great to relax in the hot tub at the end of the day enjoying the beautiful views.

Everything! The accommodation is perfect in a superb location overlooking the bay. It is Immaculately clean and well furnished, fully equipped with everything you could possibly need. Basic essentials were provided as well as breakfast cereal, milk, tea & coffee, biscuits and even a bottle of wine. Murray & Pam are the perfect hosts and were on hand with tips/advice during our stay. It's a great base for exploring the Bay of Islands, Paihia itself is a lovely little town, we took the car ferry to Russell and a boat trip from Paihia to the hole in the rock and went to Kerikeri to see the waterfalls. It really is the perfect place if you just want to chill out; we loved watching the sun come up each morning; a stunning view.

Our stay at Te Awa was the perfect welcome to New Zealand. Our hosts provided a personal experience for us in the Bay of Islands. The setting couldn’t have been more spectacular on the banks of the river, and our room was very comfortable and peaceful. We enjoyed the pool each afternoon, following a day of exploring, and watched the moon rise each evening from the expansive deck. Breakfasts were delicious and prepared us for a day of activity. We appreciated every recommendation provided by Martin and Joelson. They definitely set the bar for the rest of our time in New Zealand. If you have the chance to stay here, we couldn’t recommend it more highly!
