We are comfortable walking and could get to the center of the craziness in about 15 minutes. The staff at Amari are incredible. We are in Thailand to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. All I did was try to book a dinner reservation and was told the ocean-side table I’d hoped for was not available so I’d have to settle for elsewhere. Fine—my error for not booking in advance. Fast forward to birthday day, we came in from the beach to a bucket of champagne, a small birthday cake, balloons and our bed decorated! Later at happy hour my husband was delivered a small cake with candles and waiters singing...THEN we go to dinner reservation and ocean-side table IS waiting for us and another cake with birthday singing is delivered. Wow. Talk about a happy birthday! My husband kept thinking it was my doing, and I had to admit the staff did a better job then me! I would also like to note that my 18 yo son had a minor medical emergency at night. We decided we would try our luck at one of the pharmacies so when I went to guest relations to ask about the closest pharmacy, the lovely ladies called a pharmacy for me to see if there was an actual pharmacist on duty (not all of them have this!). They put my son and I in a taxi and gave the driver explicit instructions to take us to a particular pharmacy, wait for us, and take us home. Thankfully we hit pay dirt with the pharmacist who was able to help my son If you have ever suffocated a medical emergency while traveling then you will understand how meaningful this was to us! We were also there over Christmas. Christmas stockings were delivered on Christmas Eve stuffed with goodies!!! The unit was lovely—impeccably clean-two bedrooms next to the clubhouse. Clean, air conditioned gym with nice equipment, great pool and bar service. Breakfasts were great, happy hour was great. The general manager was onsite and was always checking on us.

Friendly and helpfull saff. Lucky to eat at the Black Ginger restaurant. Such an amazing experience.
