Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House Hotel consists of three buildings, including two 19th century manor houses and is located in the surrounds of Iffley Village, only 2 miles from the centre of Oxford. Complimentary Wi-Fi and parking are available.

I liked the room and the full English and international breakfast.

Location was the reason I chose the Eastgate Mercure. I was pleasantly surprised that the facilities were so good; the staff were very helpful. I would recommend this hotel & plan to stay there when I return next May.

In my room (room 8), the window must have been double glazed since previous reviews. As a result, room was comfortably warm and free from draughts. In fact the heat hit me when I first opened the door but the heating controls worked so I could reduce accordingly. Shared bathroom down one floor definitely had a lock, again a previous issue. Location good. (Albeit view out of my window was the bus depot but for one night it didn't bother me).

Absolutely superb staff. Fabulous breakfast options with a great view of the river. Comfy beds which according to the reviews is rare at this price range for Oxford. Great locations with many buses calling by. I will return!

Mercure are always good hotels. Staff very helpful and charming. Food a bit disappointing. Dinner OKbut not great and breakfast disappointing. The hot food was pre cooked and the continental breakfast option was not of a good standard. Staff lovely and very pleasant on reception and in restaurant. Would stay again if in the area.

I sent two nights at this hotel within a few days. My first room on the third floor was acceptable, nothing special but functional and perfectly adequate for my needs. The location was excellent and the staff on duty polite and efficient. Accordingly I booked a second night the following week

The hotel has a spectacular location that I remembered warmly from a previous stay, before it was taken over by Mercure. Again this time, I enjoyed a pleasant reception by nice people.
