The room came with a power board and an extension cord that allowed me to work comfortably in the room and they were very accommodating when I requested an extended checkout.

Convenient location. Can walk next to the river and boats at night time as it is walking distance. Also there are number of restaurants walking distance. And the breakfast cafe near the river opens at 6AM which has lot of options.

This motel is in a great central location while also being surrounded by trees and near a park. It is an easy walk into the main part of town and a quick drive to everywhere else. The room was basic but well furnished, clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable and staff helpful.

It was extremely clean, a very generous kitchenette, huge bathroom. The outside lights went off early, the room was dark and it was blissfully quiet.

Tea Gardens Motel is a 2-hour drive from Sydney and a 1-hour drive from Newcastle. The property is a 1-hour drive from Nelson Bay, or you can take the ferry from Tea Gardens to Nelson Bay.

Typical older style motel. A bowling club next door that offered tasty lunch and dinner. Very convenient. The river with more food options was nearby.
