Really friendly and welcoming host! Great set up with cabins up high looking out over the firth of Thames. Amazing view. Fruit trees, spa, plunge pool, trampoline. Great for adults and kids.

Heating was on when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. Enough towels for all of us. Very easy to be comfortable. Location is perfect for Glow Worm cave. Convenience store and pub close by for meals (Convenience store closes earlier than advertised - so get supplies early) Go to town before you check in if you need food supplies, as it's quite a long windy drive to motel

I called him mentioned that the car will be towed to Te Kuiti late in the evening. He offered to pick me up. However I did get a rental and the manager said he would wait till I got there. At the motel he was of great help and I am indebted to him. I am grateful to the good souls of King Country

They were clean and well-maintained with good heating and ventilation. Basic but good-sized (king single bunks) beds with good bedding.
