Everything, was a really cosy room, staff were so helpful and location was perfect! And the view from your room is kind of just incredible!

Guests at the motel will be able to enjoy activities in and around National Park, like hiking. Overall our stay was a great one. The room has complete amenities and it was cozy and very comfortable.

Ossies Motels and Chalets is just a 4-minute walk from Ohakune Squash Club and a 5-minute drive from the entrance to Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy a range of hiking trails. The friendly hosts, John & Sue, were amazing with help and suggestions and offering alternative activities. The free laundry was a blessing. We were located close to town, and to several walks and scenic drives. The map provided of the local area was very helpful.

The Peaks Motel is a 2-minute drive from the base of Mt Ruapehu and a Lake Taupo is a 1-hour away. Whanganui is a 1-hour and 15-minute drive away. Nice property with all good amenities.

Situated only 10 minutes’ walk from central Ohakune and with beautiful views of Mt Ruapehu from most rooms, Ohakune Court Motel offers accommodation with an en suite bathroom and a flat-screen cable TV. Ohakune Railway Station is 3 minutes' drive away. This was one of the cheaper places we stayed so our expectations weren't high. But there was nothing major I could fault on our stay, being the owners were friendly, helpful and also easy to find. Kitchen had all the gear to cook our meals, shower was good and the hot tub in the courtyard was perfect at the end of the day.

Tongariro Boutique B&B is located in Tongariro National Park. Guests at the property can enjoy views of the national park from the rooms and access to a Jacuzzi and a large hot pool, replenished with spring water. V sumple check in once booked. Nice kitchenette & breakfast from 6.30am. Hot tub looked good, though no time to use.

The Hobbit Motorlodge offers a hot tub and free unlimited WiFi. It is a 50-minute drive from the Tongariro Crossing, and the property can arrange for a drop-off service at a charge.

A coin-operated laundry facility is available. Free parking is provided. due to rain (traveling by motorcycle) and a failed attempt at the river canoe trip, I ended up staying at the Hobbit for way longer than anticipated, but my stay was fantastic and comfortable! Michelle who runs the lodge is a wonderful person and puts alot of effort in to keeping the lodge clean and comfy for guests! I would def recommend staying here if you are coming through Ohakune!
