The balcony overlooking the Oconaluftee River is very relaxing and we were able to sleep with the balcony door open without AC, which we really enjoyed. We went to the open air theater and the Cherokee village, the Qualla shop has authentic handicrafts, the others sell Chinese stuff.

The owner built a fire outside in the fire pit. Plenty of seating around the ring. We had a very nice interaction with housekeeping as we were leaving-super nice ladies. Will definitely stay there again!
