A short stay at this Ryokan was exceptional! We booked for one day and were greeted with many friendly staff members. They were very helpful in giving us directions and tour of our open bath room. We went during a slower day so was able to experience the public bath to ourselves. Our own private bath was also very comfortable and relaxing. On top of this, you must experience the traditional breakfast and dinner menu, the food was unique and quite filling! Lastly, although the location is farther from the train station, they offer free shuttles, highly recommend!

This was my first ryokan experience, and I loved it. The hotel is also at walking distance from beautiful Arashiyama bamboo Grove and many good restaurants. I liked the special Japanase breakfast. I also tried the Onsen and it was a great experience.

It’s a nice traditional Japanese inn. The room was spacious and comfortable. We paid extra to reserve private onsen experience. It was very nice and relaxing. Our plan didn’t include dinner and the area restaurants and shops close early like 5:30pm. So you should check and book restaurant ahead of time, otherwise end up eating snacks for dinner like us 😅.
