Onyado Nono Matsumoto Natural Hot Spring provides rooms in Matsumoto near Matsumoto Station and Matsumoto Castle. Convenient location, it is about 5-10 minute walk from the train station and 15-20 minutes to the castle. The room I stayed was quite roomy, clean and comfortable. A top-floor onsen offers the mountain view for both indoor and outdoor baths. Buffet breakfast comes with variety of choices and tasty. Ice cream, yogurt drink, and evening Soba noodle, after taking onsen, are nice treats, worth a try. Staff are very attentive and helpful.

Conveniently set in Takayama, hotel around TAKAYAMA, an Ascend Collection Hotel provides air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant, free WiFi and a bar. Staff helped me call our last hotel to forward some meds that were left there. So nice for them to help. Breakfasts were very good.

Fabulous room: private outdoor onsen, huge bath tube and a separate balcony. Big TV set with huge couch to sit on. Outstanding breakfast. Extremely attentive and supportive staff. All services — at a top notch. Great choice for a few days relax from Tokyo hype.

Onyado Yuinosho, Shirakawago provides a sauna and free private parking, and is within 45 km of Hida Minzoku Mura Folk Village and 46 km of Takayama Station. Experiencing a Ryokan was amazing and Onyado Yuinosho is the perfect place for it, the staff is incredibly nice and accomodating, the food is incredible, the rooms and facilities are so fancy and pretty and atmosphere is so relaxed and cozy! They give you all sorts of amenities, they have free ramen at night, coffee, yogurt drinks and they even leave local candy to try inside the room! They also have vending machines for soft drinks/coffee/tea and alcohol! The meals they serve are extremely tasty and fancy with beautiful window views of the mountains! The private onsen rooms are beatiful and relaxing! The two nights we spent there were the highlight of our trip! Absolutely must recommend this place if you plan to visit Shirakawa-go!

Peacefully situated on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in the scenic Mount Fuji area, Japanese-style hot spring hotel Kasuitei Ooya features rooms with stunning lake views, some boasting a private... Staff were very friendly and can speak English. Check in and check out was quick. Room was very spacious for a couple, definitely try on the Yukata that's also included in the room!
