The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.

The ryokan is located in a geothermal area, with a number of hot springs nearby for guests to relax in. The pictures are exactly how it appears in the photos but it’s so much better! The ryokan is beyond amazing. The room, the view and location was spectacular!

Overlooking the Seto Inland Sea, Grand Prince Hotel is located a 15-minute drive from central Hiroshima. The hotel offers 5 dining options, a outdoor pool (only summer) and hot spring baths. The hotel is featured in Michelin Green Guide Japan 2013. A free shuttle is available from Hiroshima Station, a 30-minute ride away. The room was very spacious and clean. Stunning view over the bay and a bonus is the walking path around the point. Accessible for anyone whether fit or in a wheelchair. Breakfast and dinner buffet very good. YOu can get a ferry direct from the Hotel to Miyajima, which was really great.

During the summer, guests can enjoy the outdoor swimming pool and Beer Terrace on the Seaside Deck. Aki Grand also has a public hot spring bath and sauna. Guests can reserve a private open-air hot spring bath with Itsukushima Shrine views. Activities at the hotel include a night cruising tour of the World Heritage Sites. This is the place to stay if you want to take advantage of all that Miyajima has to offer. They have a bus shuttle service from the train station to the hotel, but even if you don't use it, the hotel is still within walking distance of the train station/ferry. Very spacious rooms and comfortable beds, with quite an interesting bedside console to control all the lights and the aircon. Lovely view from the balcony as well and very helpful staff. The Japanese restaurant within the hotel also served delicious food! Sadly, I didn't have time to check out the pool and the onsen, but hopefully I will have the opportunity to do so next time.

Dormy Inn Hiroshima Annex offers a range of wellness facilities including a sauna, a hot spring bath and a spa centre. We had an amazing stay at Dormy Inn Annex. We were able to securely drop off our luggage early. Then we explored the city and returned later to check in. Our luggage was waiting for us in our room. Very convenient! We loved the complimentary treats, such as coffee, lemonade, ice cream and ramen! There was also a welcome treat in our bedroom on arrival. There were plenty of toiletries to use if needed. The public bath was awesome! It had indoor and open air baths so it was nice to try both. We also used the free shuttle service to the JR station, which was very convenient with luggage! The room was spotless. I would absolutely stay here again!
