Werfen has two main attractions (if you don't count the Sound of Music trail): the Eisriesenwelt ice caves and the Hohenwerfen fortress. We were just down the road from the first and looked out the window at the second - definitely worth the extra few Euros for the castle view room! Plenty of free parking.
