My biggest concern before arrival was that since I was leaving from Sydney, I was not arriving in Darwin until around midnight and would not get to this hotel until after midnight. So, the thing I was most concerned about was any possibility of arriving and not being able to get the keys to my room. The contact I had with the staff on the phone prior to my booking and arrival was very reassuring and their instructions were very clear. Everything went according to plan and the keys were easily accessible as per the hotel staff's instructions via text about how to access the lock box which is clearly visible to the right of the main doors (I have tried to attach some pictures of the box). The staff were excellent in person and on the phone and the facilities were very good. The hotel is also within walking distance of many shops and shopping centres including a Coles supermarket. For someone coming a long way to an area they weren't familiar with, the staff couldn't have handled all the necessary arrangements better.

This is a true “get away from it all” property. While some may think it isolated, we really appreciated the privacy and rural nature of the retreat. Proximity to local attractions such as Darwin Harbour, Fogg Dam Conservation Area and Litchfield and Kakadu National Parks, makes it an ideal centre for exploring the region.

Although we initially thought the location might be a little too far out of Palmerston, we soon got used to the 15 min drive. We looked forward to getting home to the peace and quiet in the evening and sitting back and relaxing before falling into the comfortable bed. There's a great patio.
