We stayed at this place for 6 nights. The place is beautiful and very quiet. You can see Great Wall from the terrace. The host was very kind and helpful at all times. Everyday we were excited for the breakfast, cause the host cooked something different everyday and everything was delicious!. One night he showed us how to cook Chinese noodles and we had dinner together. We are very satisfied with our stay here.

Lily and her husband were very accommodating. We arranged for an airport pick-up but our flight got delayed. But they were still waiting for us at the airport lobby and had water for us for our trip to the hotel. The next day, a lovely breakfast was provided for us along with homemade coffee drinks. The owners also went above and beyond to help us visit the Great Wall by providing multiple ways of seeing it. The hotel itself was beautiful and the room was comfortable and clean. You can also see portions of the Great Wall from there rooftop terrace. I would recommend to everyone!

Thank you so much for the wonderful stay! This was such a special and unique experience to stay at a family homestay near the Great Wall. They went out of their way to help you, plan your trip, organize tickets, and everything. The translation apps work perfectly for communication! The food was out of this world. It was by far the best food we had in China! Grandma's homecooked meals were so delicious and so big...we wished we could have finished the plates, but we were so full! Nobody has to worry about being hungry at the Great Wall. The portions are so big. We had breakfast and dinner and it was the best. This family takes care of you so well. They pick you up, drop you off and just do everything you need. Thank you so much for everything!

The flower yard is the perfect place to stay for a trip to the countryside just outside of Beijing city. Angel and Tony were super accomodating and their place felt very homely. The beds were extremely comfy and the shower/bathroom was nice and modern. They run a ceramics studio out of the stay so theres lots of cool art around and you can even try your hand at some pottery. The area surrounding their place was beautiful with a river just down the road and a relaxing walkway that goes along the water. There also a nice restaurant nearby and a basketball court a short bike ride away. They made it super easy to go to The Great Wall. Angel sorted out all my tickets, shuttle bus and cable car ride. She even took the time to take me to the base of the wall and waited to take me back home after the adventure. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking to stay outside of the busy city centre and want to see The Great Wall of China. The provided breakfast was really nice and accomodating of dietary requirements. Tony and Angel spoke great English too and helped me sort out any language barrier stuff that came up on the trip. It's also only a fairly cheap and short car ride from PEK Beijing Capital Airport.

The host was incredibly friendly and helpful. She called us when we got lost, found us, picked us up, and dropped us off at the Mutianyu Great Wall entrance. The entrance to the Great Wall is a 5 minute walk from the hotel and very easy to get to. If you get up early you can beat the crowds from Beijing who arrive around 9:00 am. We had the Great Wall almost to ourselves! Breakfast was Chinese style and excellent. They also make great dinner upon request. The host was quick to respond to any of the requests we had. Rooms have recently been constructed and are clean and spacious.

Service and location were excellent. If you want to experience quite China country living with great access to the Wall this place is a wonderful and unique experience.
